For this final project I choose originally just to do my art journey and where I started and where I am in that second. In my series thou I started to think about more about the meaning I was trying to share. More of what artist now a day are expected, what everyone thinks an artist "should be." Especially in illustration and animation where I wish to stand one day.
So for my series I choose the theme " Perfectly Imperfect " because as an artist we present ourselves as perfect when in reality we only look perfect because we are all imperfect. So my pieces I choose my art journey and how learning to be the "perfect" artist means leaning to be the most "imperfect" artist possible.
This is why my pieces are not spotted, they are a bit messy and nothing is perfect in these images because they are perfect by being imperfect.
Biggest struggle I had with this project is my images being all over expose from light because I was in my studio with bright LEDS and 400 ISO which was too sensitive because I had my camera at a slow shutter speed, I need to move up to 250-500 rather then 4-15.

Final images:
This first image is of my work desk with all my pictures of pieces I've worked on around me. The ones on my right are all new. But the ones in focus are from gr.6. That is when I started to really draw and start my path that is still unfinished.

This tablet that's in focus has carried me for years. I have had this tablet for 8 years now and still use it. It's a Wacom into pro medium. This tablet has taken me farther then I could have ever imagined and has withstood the test of time.

For my 3rd image I wanted to have my new Wacom in focus, but some how manage to just focus the mat. In the end, the image of my tablet is clear still giving me what I wanted. I wanted my work to be in focus, to show how far I've come along. From paper, to my first wacom, to now my screen wacom tablet that will carry me even farther.

4th image I wanted to get a image of where I am now in my art journey, while using my books to try and transition to the next images. This way I hoped that the full art process would be visible and the connection of the books and my art would be made.

Moving to my 5th image with my hand writing, I wanted to present the idea of how the craft goes from paper to tablet and vise verses depending on the project. This project I am working on in this image is my web comic called Black Water. These exact pages you are able to see is two working cases within the world.

6th image is all about my new process verses my old. My new story that is now 2 years old verses the ones in the background that is 10 years plus. The paper that is also between all the journals is a creative essay from grade 6 that really opened me to creative writing.

In this image I choose to flip view to my older books, I wish the writing from my grade 6 creative project showed more in this, but was still pleased with how the older images became more clear as if you are looking to the past, to the future.

Finally put together:
This is how everything came out at the very end. No matter how much I play with the grid, I actually still don't thing it's the strongest thing I could have done. Rather then leaving everything in a story, I should have move everything out of order and made everything more playful and breathable. Also yes, the bottom corner one suppose to be wonky, it was suppose to follow the theme "perfectly imperfect." I should have just made everything more of a though bubble, or more of a circle possible in order to give breathing room to the art piece itself. The one weird piece just weaken my set up at the end of the day.
By the end of it all, everyone piece were amazing. Everyone did everything they could to put there bests foot forward. it was just amazing to see how everyone could do so much in so little time and no matter what I congratulate everyone on there best.
